Final plans are now in place for The National Engineering Recruitment Exhibitions (NER) and The National Construction Recruitment Exhibitions (NCR).

Final plans are now in place for The National Engineering Recruitment Exhibitions (NER) and The National Construction Recruitment Exhibitions (NCR).

The exhibition is taking place on the 28th and 29th November 2003 at the NEC, Birmingham, and is the leading event of its kind with over 40 exhibitors.

NCR was launched in May due to industry demand after the organisers of NCR and NER identified recruitment issues and skills shortages in the construction sector.

Due to these continuing issues the number of exhibitors in this area have increased providing more opportunities for construction-focused job seekers.

The National Engineering Recruitment Exhibition and The National Construction Recruitment Exhibition will profile the broadest range of opportunities across all engineering disciplines, including civil, rail, aerospace, construction, mechanical, IT, automotive, manufacturing and process engineering.

NER will bring to life many real engineering challenges in a series of interactive features, as well as providing the opportunity for discussion and career review amongst both graduate and experienced engineers.

Educational and interactive features at NER include a free CV clinic available to all visitors at NER - whether drafting a CV from scratch or wanting advice on fine-tuning it, there will be experts on hand to offer sound guidance enabling visitors to create that all-important career-winning tool.

Free career seminars will be given on a wide range of subjects, including how to conduct job interviews and job search techniques.

Free company presentations will be given by exhibitors to introduce their companies and highlight their job opportunities.

Visitors will be able to partake in two competitions organised by Input, an education/industry link project based at The Oxford Trust, namely: the bridge building challenge and the emergency medical supplies challenge.

A brief for each competition will be provided by Input before each team is put to the test.

The competitions will be run daily with the bridge building challenge starting at 1100 GMT and the emergency medical supplies challenge at 1430 GMT.
