The National Engineering and Construction Recruitment Exhibition (NECR) will be held at the NEC, Birmingham on 27 and 28 November 2009.

The major organisations exhibiting at NECR will be offering roles in sectors including: aerospace, automotive, mechanical, electronics, software and defence, construction, civil and structural engineering and facilities management.

Among the organisations recruiting at the two-day exhibition will be BAE Systems, Cummins, Environment Agency, HSE, Jacobs, Jaguar Land Rover, Network Rail, Raytheon Systems, RAF, Royal Navy, the Army, Sellafield, UKAEA and Unipart Group.

Experts in the Careers Advice Lounge will offer personalised advice on all aspects of finding the perfect job and how to promote yourself to prospective employers.

Free half-hour group sessions at the interview clinic will give visitors individual and practical advice on how to approach an interview and tips on how to demonstrate the qualities recruiters are looking for.

There are also a range of free careers presentations throughout the exhibition, offering careers advice and information on opportunities at the UK's leading engineering and construction companies.

They provide advice on interview preparation, effective interview skills, selling yourself, how the application process works for recruiters, what the company culture is like and how to get your CV to the top of the pile.

For university final year students, the University Challenge gives teams across the country the chance to compete against each other to design, build and test their inventions in a task to win a prize of GBP750.
