SenGenuity offers the ViSmart viscosity sensor, which is designed to provide instantaneous sample and/or continuous, real-time, in-process viscosity measurements.

Vectron International is changing the name of its Sensors and Advanced Packaging (SAP) business unit to SenGenuity "It has always been our business strategy to strengthen our leadership position in the frequency control market while also diversifying into innovative new growth markets such as sensors", said Rick Hajec, President, Vectron International

"The early success of our SAP business has prompted us to now re-brand the division and continue to sharpen our focus".

SenGenuity offers the ViSmart viscosity sensor, which is designed to provide instantaneous sample and/or continuous, real-time, in-process viscosity measurements for embedded, in-line environments requiring high resolution and accuracy in low to mid-range viscosity fluids.

The ViSmart viscosity sensor uses robust and reliable semiconductor technology, has no moving parts and is sealed for complete immersion.

It is unaffected by vibration or flow conditions, does not need field calibration and is packaged in a very portable, lightweight design.

The ViSmart sensor measures a wide range of viscosity of fluid and is rated for temperatures up to 125C in a threaded bolt package for quick installation, with custom options and configurations available for specific industry applications and process requirements.

In January 2007, Vectron acquired BiODE, a designer and manufacturer of fluid viscosity sensors and viscometer readers and integrated it into its SAP business unit.

SenGenuity will continue to operate out of its Hudson, New Hampshire headquarters as well as its labs in Westbrook, Maine.
