Vehicle Weighing Solutions has won a contract to supply the Cooper Group with Loadweigh underbody weighing systems that are suitable for rigid or articulated tipping trailers and tankers.
Vehicle Weighing Solutions has won a contract to supply the Cooper Group with Loadweigh underbody weighing systems that are suitable for rigid or articulated tipping trailers and tankers.
The precision systems that will be supplied to this rapidly expanding Midland-based company are the latest development in underbody weighing technology.
They have a number of features that make them the ideal fleet solution, including their use of a trade approved weight indicator.
This indicator can be in-cab or trailer mounted and is fitted inside a toughened polyglass fibre enclosure.
When mounted outside of a cab, IP68 glands ensure that the indicator is protected against any harsh environment.
Also, the systems have an alarm sounder that emits a two-tone audible warning for maximum load and overload protection.
Ian Cooper, the Group Managing Director, has ordered 20 underbody weighing kits from Vehicle Weighing Solutions for some of his existing fleet as well as for his new vehicles.
When asked to comment on the contract he said: "The underbody weighing systems will be a real benefit to our clients as they not only give very accurate weight readings but can be set up to automatically shut down the rear pacher plate and send the data weight of rubbish collected to us or to the client's PC via GPRS links".
"Vehicle Weighing Solutions also have a good bin weighing option and bin chipping/scanning service which we hope to use in the future".
