EnCapta software from Vistagy has been selected by Computer Graphics World as a winner of its Eighth Annual Innovation Awards The software accelerates product development cycles and reduces product design and manufacturing costs by providing engineers with CAD-integrated tools to create complete product definitions for any specialized area of engineering

EnCapta captures complex non-geometric design data, such as material specifications, assembly instructions and costing information, that are currently recorded in text documents, spreadsheets, email messages and even handwritten notes, and associates it with the relevant CAD geometry.

Design and manufacturing information that is vital for complete product definition can easily be defined, edited, sorted and searched and EnCapta's XML tools extract the information from the CAD model and export it to other applications, databases, or people throughout the enterprise.

EnCapta is currently integrated with the Catia, Pro/Engineer and Unigraphics CAD systems.

Winners of Computer Graphics World's Innovation Awards are selected once a year by the magazine editors and a distinguished panel of judges for best representing the essence of innovation in visual computing.
