Vistagy has released the latest version of its FiberSIM software for use on the Catia V5 platform.

Vistagy has released the latest version of its FiberSIM software for use on the Catia V5 platform FiberSIM 4.0, which creates a specialised CAD-integrated environment for designing and manufacturing composite parts, will be fully functional within Catia V5

Vistagy has completed an agreement with Spatial Corp, a market-leading provider of 3D development technologies, to become a Component Application Architecture (CAA) V5 Adopter.

That relationship gives Vistagy access to tools for full integration of FiberSIM to extend the standard functions and capabilities of Catia V5.

"This agreement stems from our commitment to customers who have previously benefited from using FiberSIM with Catia Version 4", says Steve Luby, president and CEO of Vistagy.

"Our joining the CAA V5 community will enable Catia users to tap into the increased functionality and power of Catia V5 while still having access to the complete range of design-through-manufacture composites tools traditionally provided by FiberSIM".

"Catia and FiberSIM share a long history of successful use in the aerospace and automotive industries", said Mike Payne, CEO of Spatial.

"Now that Vistagy has become a member of the CAA V5 community, we look forward to working with them as they expand their software capabilities on the Catia V5 platform".
