Walk-in Cabin ideal for communications rollouts
Viasystems EMS - Europe has launched the Viacell, an innovative new walk-in cabin that has been designed for new technology communications network rollouts
This cabinet's functional layout consists of 4 compartments including one double rack bay, bottom battery compartment, left-hand side utility bay and right hand side interconnect bay.
The cabinet is suitable for DSL and variants (e.g ADSL, HSDSL) equipment and its features include: * 19" 23" and ETSI equipment mounting.
* Cable management via base gland plate.
* Secure compartments for limiting access.
* Security devices.
* Anti-vandalism protection.
This cabinet is aimed at meeting and exceeding the technological and environmental requirements of modern communication infrastructure.
The DSL cabinet has been designed and developed at the Viasystems facility in Coventry, who are also able to supply and integrate the full portfolio of electromechanical products housed internally - including the air conditioning system that is supplied by the Viasystems joint venture partner Dantherm HMS in Skive, Denmark.
The units are specifically designed to meet the high heat dissipation associated with DSL technology, where heat loads in excess of 2.5 kW can be generated within the restricted dimensions afforded to the typical roadside cabinet.
Colin Campbell, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing - EMEA commented "Once again our design and new product realisation team have taken detailed note of the technically demanding requirements of our customers.
Viasystems now launch a DSL cabinet offering that is technically and aesthetically excellent, whilst also meeting the markets low price demands.
This product launch is timely regarding the impact of local loop DSL and continues to keep Viasystems leading from the front in new cabinet technology".
