The Victrex Peek polymer is claimed to provide a viable alternative to conventional plastics as a lining and surface material.
Victrex Peek offers combination of high chemical and temperature resistance, optimum wear properties, good mechanical strength and high purity.
As components coated with Victrex Peek need to be lined less frequently, a longer service life and increased production output because of minimised downtime can also be achieved.
This ultimately contributes to cost reductions and maintenance, according to the company.
With the 50 per cent lower specific weight of Victrex Peek and the possibility of thin-wall linings, advantages in design can also be achieved.
