Aperto Networks, a provider in WiMAX-class multiservice broadband wireless access systems for global markets has selected Arendar test data management software for testing Packetwave systems.

Arendar will be used to collect, organise and analyse test data and generate reports ensuring Packetwave base stations, subscriber units, associated radios and antennas pass Aperto's stringent manufacturing specifications and quality control standards.

Aperto's Packetwave broadband wireless system provides a single coherent platform for delivering converged data, voice, and video services over an IP network said VI.

According to Allen Adolph, vice president of operations at Aperto Networks, Arendar will help Aperto ensure continuous quality and productivity in manufacturing operations.

"We selected Arendar because we needed a tool for managing manufacturing test information throughout our organisation and also with our global contract manufacturing partners that provide Packetwave system components.

Arendar will make it easy to create reports and share test and quality information with managers in manufacturing and design engineering over our Intranet," Adolph said.

Arendar is claimed to provide secure real-time access to manufacturing test information throughout the product life cycle giving engineers and managers the capability to drill-down in to raw test data, analyse and report product test results and quickly gain insight in to their product design, manufacturing and support operations.

Arendar's web portal is also said to deliver enterprise-wide visibility to design characterisation and manufacturing test data and reports that companies use to achieve lower design, manufacturing and support costs.
