High-speed control system wins innovation award

Vipa's Speed7 PLC system has won the Initiative Mittelstand Innovation Prize.

In 2007 more than 300 companies contested the innovation award.

The System 300S includes a range of high-speed processors with scalable memory and fully configurable digital and analogue I/O modules plus fieldbus master and communications modules.

The range also shares hardware pin compatibility with Siemens S7-300 systems, allowing modules and components from both companies to be freely mixed, with Vipa fully supporting all approved system hardware.

The Speed7 technology also features in a new range of integrated HMI and Touchcontrol PLCs, which combine the processor with a family of 8.4 to 12.1in SVGA colour screen HMIs to provide a single programming and interface environment that is powerful enough to handle small to medium sized automation tasks.
