The renewed contract runs until 2006, with an option for a further two-year extension.

Viking Johnson is understandably very proud of its longstanding relationship with Southern Water.

"The proven reliability of our products was a major factor in the decision, as was our ability to supply at short notice.

Our technical and customer services support was also very important", said UK Sales Director, Lee Dunning.

Viking Johnson continues to build on more than 70 years' experience of providing pipe-jointing solutions that are designed to last the lifetime of the pipeline.

In the last year alone, it has introduced an improved anticorrosion coating for nuts and bolts; and a new coupling to simplify the installation of pipes through walls and structures.
