Viking Johnson has had an exceptionally good year for new and renewed business, with no fewer than 11 UK water undertakings selecting the company as its preferred supplier.

Pipe joint and repair products specialist Viking Johnson has had an exceptionally good year for new and renewed business, with no fewer than 11 UK water undertakings selecting the company as its preferred supplier Through competitive tender, VJ renewed its agreements with (in alphabetical order) the Midland Purchasing Consortium, Northumbria, South East, South West, Suffolk and Essex, Sutton and East Surrey, United Utilities and the Wessex Purchasing Consortium

In addition, Portsmouth and Southern extended their existing contracts.

The company rounded off the 12 months with a second deal with United Utilities, this time acting on behalf of Welsh Water.

The three-year contract, which brings Welsh back into the Viking Johnson fold, includes options for two one-year extensions.

It will be serviced through Welsh's logistics provider Frazer Cardiff.
