Internal gear pumps achieve greater pressures

A Voith Turbo product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 12, 2004

In order to meet the increasing requirements in the field of high-pressure pumps, Voith Turbo is introducing the IPVS, a higher-specification version of its IPV high-pressure internal gear pump.

In order to meet the increasing requirements in the field of high-pressure pumps, Voith Turbo is continuing to optimise its IPV high-pressure internal gear pump.

The new series IPVS permits peak pressures of up to 420bar for sizes 3 and 4 at a speed of 1500rev/min, meaning an increase of more than 20 per cent.

In addition to an increase in the maximum peak pressures, operating pressures are also increased substantially.

These pumps are particularly suitable for used with rapidly switching valves, where high pressure gradients and high peak values occur.

Increased peak pressures will soon be possible for pumps of series 5,6 and 7, too.

Like all Voith pump types, the high-pressure internal gear pumps can easily be combined and interchanged.
