Measuring just 60 x 60 x 15mm, the SBC50 single-board industrial smart camera is ideal for use in equipment or environments where space is at a premium.

When coupled with the available development software from Analog Devices and the available VCLIB image processing library from Vision Components, this machine vision system is ideal for a variety of OEM needs including inspection, orientation, object recognition and many other tasks.

Ready to go application packages for noncontact measurements, data-matrix, laser triangulation, motion analyses, biometrics and security applications are also available.

The SBC50 features a 0.2in Sony progressive scan sensor with a pixel resolution of 640 x 480, a 50% faster Analog Devices digital signal processor than used in earlier single board models, 8Mbyte of DRAM, and 2Mbyte of Flash memory.

The SBC50 is offered with a choice of C-Mount, CS-Mount or 12mm lens mounts.

It features progressive scan image capture, instant triggering, binning, full-frame integration, programmable gain and offset, an electronic shutter, and vertical resets and restarts.

Low power consumption and 9-12V power requirement makes this smart camera an ideal candidate for battery-operated applications.

Vision Components offers the SBC50 model for $300 in 100-off quantities.

The aggressively low quantity pricing favours volume purchasers and OEMs.
