20th anniversary celebrations for Vector Fields
An Oxford based company which "spun off" from the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory celebrated its 20th anniversary last week.
An Oxford based company which "spun off" from the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory celebrated its 20th anniversary last week.
Vector Fields develops software for the analysis and simulation of electromagnetic fields which is used for the design of all types of electrical equipment from small tape heads, cellular phone antennas to large generators and MRI systems.
The company's products are sold in 45 countries from its base in Kidlington and its US subsidiary near Chicago.
Most of the world's leading electrical companies and government research laboratories are customers of Vector Fields.
The celebrations included a Software User Conference at Magdalen College attended by delegates from Japan, Korea, USA and Europe, culminating in a banquet at the college, with keynote speeches from Professor Bill Trowbridge OBE, Chairman and Dr Paul Williams CBE, Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and former Director of Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
Vector Fields is a private company, owned by the founding directors Bill Trowbridge, John Simkin and John Whitney.
