Verder describes the Genie as a new concept in pumping technology.
However, the company sought to rationalise its air pump section in order to improve plant reliability and achieve cost benefits by having one make and minimum models and sizes on site.
Verder was represented by a 2in VA50 air pump being tested on an aggressive/abrasive process duty, a duty on which other makes of air pump had been tested and had proved unreliable.
After a thorough review of all the different makes and pump duties in use at the site and taking into consideration such factors as performance, reliability, ease of maintenance, availability of spares and costs, Huntsman Tioxide chose Verder as its preferred supplier of air pumps.
After discussing specific requirements, four VA50 stainless steel/teflon pumps and eight VA25 kynar/teflon pumps were installed at the site.
