Integrated pump ideal for dosing
Verder describes the Genie as a new concept in pumping technology.
Previously, sealed centrifugal pumps were employed, but it was found that the solution crystallised on the seal faces of these pumps, causing damage that resulted in their failure.
This in turn produced leakage, necessitating greater downtime to replace the worn seals.
The decision to replace these pumps with Verdermag Global units was based on their sealless, gland-free design and the performance of four of these pumps already in use at the site's resin column filtration plant.
With the elimination of the leakage problem, downtime has been significantly reduced and because Global pumps are modular, any future maintenance can be carried out without disconnecting the inlet and outlet piping, keeping downtime to a minimum.
