Northumbrian Water recently asked Verder to provide a more efficient water boost system.

Northumbrian Water recently asked Verder to provide a more efficient water boost system The application involved the circulation of mains water to cool the bearings of sewage transfer pumps at a sewage treatment works

Previously, the circulated mains water only passed through the system once.

Northumbrian Water was therefore keen to introduce a recycling process that would save on water costs.

Following a visit to the site to discuss the application with NW engineers, Verder proposed a single-source solution that encompassed the following: on-site mechanical work and electrical installation; package build; and on-site commissioning.

All the build work was carried out at Verder's Service and Repair Centre in Leeds.

This greatly reduced the downtime required to replace the old system and allowed NW representatives to witness the new installation being tested prior to site delivery.
