Alperin takes over as President
After 32 years of leading Vertex Fasteners, David M Hirsch has relinquished his title of President to Executive Vice President and COO Mark Alperin, who has served with the company more than 15 years.

Prior to Vertex, Alperin served six years as vice president of strategic planning at LF Rothschild, Unterberg and Towbin, an investment firm for high-growth technology companies, and two years with the Washington Redskins organisation.
He received his BA from Dartmouth College in 1980 and MBA from Duke University in 1982.
