VTI Technologies has, together with Professor Gao Guowei, founded a joint venture company called Beijing Orisens Co in Beijing, China.
VTI Technologies has, together with Professor Gao Guowei, founded a joint venture company called Beijing Orisens Co (BOC) in Beijing, China.
The company combines VTI's sensor technology with Professor Gao Guowei's know-how on accurate sensor applications.
It will develop, manufacture and sell products that measure inclination and vibration for the industry and consumers in China.
One of the applications is a baby heart rate monitor.
VTI's ownership of the company is 76.22 % and Professor Gao's company, Beijing Basic Elec Sensor Co, has 23.78 % of the shares.
Company's office and production premises are situated in the neighbourhood of Beijing Information and Technology University (BITI).
Professor Gao Guowei acts as General Manager of the joint-venture company.

VTI Technologies is a forerunner in motion and pressure sensors and the world's leading designer and producer of acceleration sensors in the automotive industry.
It develops and produces silicon-based capacitive sensors with unique 3D-MEMS (micro-electromechanical system) technology, with application areas in acceleration, inclination, shock, vibration, angular rate and pressure measurement.
The company is a leader in low-g acceleration sensors with over 50% global market share in the automotive industry.
VTI's strong market position is based on a good technology basis, innovative products and excellent reliability and performance.
VTI is owned by EQT III private equity fund.
VTI's net sales in 2004 totalled euro62 million and the company had approximately 700 employees.
VTI's core activities are located in Finland.
The company's international sales and marketing network includes sales offices in Germany, USA, China and Japan.
Besides Vantaa, Finland, VTI also has manufacturing operations in Mexico.
