VTI Technologies and international automotive supplier Continental have agreed on the sales of VTI's current automotive stand alone module business.

VTI Technologies and international automotive supplier Continental have agreed on the sales of VTI's current automotive stand alone module business.

The annual net sales of the business to be transferred are Eur 7 million.

The agreement will come to effect by 31st October 2006 and it is subject to acceptance by the German Federal Cartel Office.

"VTI's focus and core business in automotive is the design and manufacturing of acceleration and pressure sensor elements and components".

"compared with that, sensor module design and assembly require different technical and manufacturing expertise".

"Also the business model for sensor modules is different, including direct business with the automotive OEMs with special requirements also in logistics", states Hannu Martola, CEO, VTI Technologies.
