The Board of Directors of VTI Technologies has appointed Markku Hirvonen (47) as the new President and CEO of the company from 1st April 2007.

The Board of Directors of VTI Technologies has appointed Markku Hirvonen (47) as the new President and CEO of the company from 1st April 2007.

Hirvonen joins VTI from the position of General Manager of Customer Support Service Business at Nokia Networks.

He has held various senior managerial positions at Nokia, and prior to that at Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

VTI's current President and CEO Hannu Martola has resigned, with effect from 31st March 2007.

Under Martola's leadership VTI has grown substantially, and the company has become a global market leader in various sensor applications.
