VX Corp will introduce VX CAD/CAM's new mould automation design suite at EuroMold (Frankfurt, Germany, 29th November to 2nd December 2006) VX chose EuroMold for unveiling the new mould automation design suite because EuroMold offers a unique venue to communicate with industrial designers, product developers, producers and mould-makers

One of the most important goals for CAD automation is to provide software that speeds the development and production of new products.

To accomplish this, VX uses intelligent modelling features with integrated manufacturing and built-in plastic processing knowhow.

The VX mould automation design suite blends VX mould and die hybrid modelling with Lib3D, a library of smart components for creating intelligent mould assemblies with parametric cooling channels, sliders and ejectors, all of which are accessed through an intuitive interface fashioned specifically for the mould design process.

With Lib3D smart components, users can select components for mould assemblies such as fasteners to a series of plates, and VX automatically calculates the required length, clearances and manufacturing methods.

"Through high-speed data import, built-in mould tools, smart components and integrated mould machining, VX has closed the gap between industrial design, product design and mould making", said Bob Fischer, VX VP Product Management and Business Development.
