VX Corporation will be showcasing powerful, time-saving mould design automation tools at booth 914 at MoldMaking Expo in Rosemont, Illinois 18th and 19th April.

VX Corporation, specialising in CAD/CAM for plastic products and moulds, will be demonstrating one of the industries must comprehensive mould-making solutions at MoldMaking Expo in Rosemont, Illinois 18th and 19th April.

The VX booth, at booth #914, will demonstrations of powerful, time-saving mould design automation tools and machining strategies optimised for high-quality moulds.

In addition to demonstrating tools for generating parting lines on complex surfaces, for automatically healing dirty geometry, for fixing undercuts, and for analysing and fixing draft angles, VX' mould automation design tools will be demonstrated.

VX mould automation design combines VX' advanced modeling with Lib3D, a library of smart components for creating intelligent mould assemblies with parametric cooling channels, sliders and ejectors, all of which are accessed through an intuitive interface fashioned specifically for the mould design process.

With Lib3D smart components, users can select components for mould assemblies such as fasteners to a series of plates, and VX automatically calculates the required length, clearances and manufacturing methods.

For machining moulds, VX' QuickMill will be demonstrated.

QuickMill, available for both roughing and advanced finishing operations, provides optimum tool loading, extremely efficient material removal, and high-quality finished moulds to reduce machine wear and tear, improve machine tool utilisation and reduce polishing time.

QuickMill's tool paths provide extraordinarily smooth transitions between surfaces.

"MoldMaking Expo offers us a venue to communicate directly with mould makers the benefits that VX mould design automation and QuickMill machining brings to their operations", said Bob Fischer, VX VP of Sales and Marketing.

"Once they see a demonstration, they immediately see how VX CAD/CAM can benefit their bottom-line with increased productivity and higher quality moulds".
