Significant cost savings can be made on all types of the standard range of fibre optic light guides and be compatible with most of the sensors that are available in the market today.
Custom light guides are also available, designed exactly to the customers specification.
Various lengths, bundle sizes, sheathing materials and end tips are available to suit any particular application, from prototypes and small volume to large production quantities.
The standard glass fibres, available from stock, are manufactured to exceptional quality standards and are drawn from the highest purity glass.
The very same fibre is available to customers for their own projects or product assembly with fast turnaround for those demanding custom needs.
Fibres are constructed from borosilcate optical glass fibre, optical grade epoxy, stainless steel and/or brass end tips, sheathing of flexible interlocking stainless steel (type 302) or PVC with monocoil steel reinforcement.
The Stainless Steel Sheathing models are suitable for a wide range of operating temperatures -45°C to +275°C (-50°F to +525°F).
The PVC monocoil reinforced models are suitable for applications where complete waterproof sealing is required and can operate between -40°C to +105°C (-40°F to +220°F).
The standard fibre brochure, specification and price list is available by request, in addition to a growing list of Vydas part-number conversion tables for various manufacturers.
For those very severe applications, special assemblies with stainless steel sheathing and end tips can be manufactured with operating ranges of -140°C to +315°C (-220°F to +600°F) Special pricing and discount structures are available for Distributors, OEMs and volume users.
