Din supplies for industrial automation

Din-rail mount switching power supplies for industrial automation markets provide various power and voltage ratings.

Vydas has introduced Din-rail mount switching power supplies for industrial automation markets.

Made by Carlo Gavazzi, they come in various power and voltages providing DC for low power devices commonly used in automated machinery.

The SPD power supplies are short circuit protected and are for use with most sensors, electromechanical relays, contactors, solid-state relays, timers, thermal-regulators, PLCs, controllers, DC motors, solenoids, displays and other types of custom electronics.

All are approved to UL, cUL, TUV and CE safety standards and are UL class two recognised and Class B for emissions meeting European standards.

There are seven power ratings from 5 to 240W, all single phase; three phase versions will be available soon.

All models have a universal 100-240V AC input.

A front trimmer is used for adjusting the output voltage.

This allows an increased voltage output when losses on lines are causing low voltages at the load.

Models up to 18W are equipped with two front panel LEDs providing visual indication of power out enabled and low voltage on the output.

All other sizes also have a physical output with the power-ready signal for use by other electronic devices or to power an alarm.

Parallel connection is possible on 120 and 240W models.

This is provided as standard on the 240W unit and on request on the 120W version.

For ease of installation and to use smaller conductors, all have a double connection for both the positive and negative terminals.

It is possible to choose the type of connector, terminal screws or removable connectors.

On smaller sizes, spring terminals can replace screw terminals.

Power factor correction is available as standard on the 240W size and on request for the 120W.

For all other sizes, it is not available.
