The 788 Series of pluggable DIN-rail mount relays uses innovative Cage Clamp spring pressure connection technology for push-in connection of solid wire or ferruled stranded wire and screwdriver actuated connection of all wire types.

Either way a highly reliable, fast, easy, vibration proof, corrosion resistant, temperature cycling resistant, and maintenance free connection can be attained.

"The 788 Series gives engineers the flexibility to switch high currents for a wide variety of input voltages", says Mark DeCramer, Advanced Electronics Product Manager at Wago.

"In addition, wiring is simplified by separating the coil side connections from the load side".

The compact design of the 788 Series pluggable relay, at just 15mm wide, is just one of the unique features resulting in tremendous application benefits.

Other features and benefits of this system include: pluggable electronics with LED/neon lamp for switching status indication, as well as with/without diode for circuit protection; easy potential commoning with insulated, plug-in, comb style jumper eliminating redundant wiring on either the coil or the load side; a convenient lever reliably secures the relay even when subjected to vibration and eases relay replacement; connection points are premarked for easy circuit identification right out of the box with optional custom marking on the relay lever; and 100% compatibility for all small switching relays with standard 5mm pin spacing.

The 788 Series is designed for terminating wire sizes 22-14 AWG, switching up to 16A at up to 230V, input voltages of 12, 24, 110V DC or 230V AC, 4kV insulation voltage between the coal and the load, and carries a UL flammability rating of UL94V0.

In addition, this series is competitively priced starting at $6.25 each for relay and socket, and can be ordered complete with base, relay (SPDT and DPDT versions), and pluggable electronics or as individual items for the utmost in manufacturing flexibility.
