A new range of terminals helps provide a cost-effective solution for surface mount technology assembly processes Key design elements incorporated into the Wago 236 Series included optimising the solder pin length to adapt to the reflow process, and the use of high temperature resistant plastic for the insulating housing, in addition to using the proven labour savings realised with Wago's unique Cage Clamp spring pressure connection technology that reduces wiring and installation time by 60%

Industrial PC brings it all together
A new cost-effective compact, industrial PC integrates all standard PC functions, including network and fieldbus interfaces, to seamlessly tie together the industrial/process automation and IT worlds.
DC power sources take control
Wago 787 Series power supplies provide a broad range of highly reliable, cost effective DC power sources for any industrial control application.
The 236 Series is offered in 2- to 6-pole configurations with 5mm pin spacing and is capable of handling conductors ranging from AWG12-28.
Standard packaging or "pick and place" configurations are also available on request.
The new terminal blocks are simply pushed into the solder paste filled PCB holes and then soldered along with the SMT components in a forced air convection system.
The result is a perfect connection both from the mechanical and the electrical point of view.
"The integration of classic electromechanical components such as connectors into the reflow soldering process reduces the overall costs associated with populating all component types onto PC boards", claims Jim Bachle, Electrical Product Manager for Wago.
"Now customers can enjoy not only the cost savings realised by using the Wago wire connection technology, but also the savings associated with eliminating an extra assembly step in their PC board processing operation".
The new 236 THR Series is available for immediate delivery and is ideally positioned to be very competitive with list prices starting at $0.25 per pole.
