Brooks brings motion control expertise

Wago has hired Walter Brooks as Regional Sales Manager covering the area of Georgia and South Carolina.

Wago has hired Walter Brooks as Regional Sales Manager covering the area of Georgia and South Carolina.

"Walter is an excellent addition to the Wago team and brings many years of experience in the industrial sales field that is combined with solid hands-on knowledge of the motion controls industry", said Toby Thomann, National Sales Manager.

Brooks comes over to Wago after spending six years with Automation Intelligence (AI), a Sanyo Denki Corporation.

While employed at AI, Brooks held a variety of positions at different periods, beginning with being an applications engineer/inside sales, then being promoted to Regional Sales Manager for the western portion of the USA and then the eastern USA.

With a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University and a master's degree in business from National-Louis University, Brooks brings with him extensive knowledge of "motion control" applications and the building of successful sales channels.

He has even been featured in Control Engineering on several occasions for his input on various machine designs.

Brooks attributes much of his success to the lessons learned while playing a variety of sports on different levels - including a very brief stint on the professional level.
