Dampeners smooth out positive displacement pumps

A Wanner Engineering product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 21, 2006

Pulsation dampeners protect pipes, valves, fittings, meters and inline instrumentation by producing steady and continuous fluid flow up to 99% free from pulsation and vibration.

New from Wanner Engineering, Hydra-Cell Pulsation Dampeners are available in four different sizes to support all Hydra-Cell series positive displacement pumps.

They are available from stock with pressure ranges up to 276bar and operating temperature ranges from -40 to +176C.

Bodies are available in a full range of chemical resistant materials to satisfy nearly any application requirement.

Custom models are available.

These pulsation dampeners protect pipes, valves, fittings, meters and inline instrumentation by producing steady and continuous fluid flow up to 99% free from pulsation and vibration, even when dosing, blending or proportioning fluids.

This ensures accuracy, longevity and repeatability of inline meters and enables the uniform application of material in spraying and coating systems.

It also reduces product agitation, foaming, splashing and degradation.

Positive displacement pumps create pulsation and hydraulic shock due to the reciprocating nature of their stroking action, potentially damaging the entire pumping system.

Hydra-Cell pulsation dampeners remove virtually all hydraulic shock to protect the pumping system while enhancing overall performance and reliability of fluid handling equipment in industrial, chemical transfer and precision metering applications.
