Ward CNC of Sheffield has been appointed exclusive UK agent for the range of high-speed and five-axis milling machines manufactured by Forest-Line of France.

As well as sales of new machines, the deal includes service representation on an impressive number of blue-chip Forest-Line installations in the UK.

With two manufacturing plants in France, the Forest-Line Group has a world lead in the development and manufacture of gantry-type milling and high-speed simultaneous five-axis milling machines as well as tape laying machines under the Aeromill, Aerostar, Flexiax, Majormill, Minumac, Minumajor, Modumill, Vecomill, V-Star and Seramill brand names.

Commenting on the agreement, managing director Simon Whitworth says: "With an impressive portfolio of high-class, high-performance machines, the Forest-Line range is an ideal fit with our existing agencies and reinforces our lead as single-source solution providers to blue chip manufacturers and their suppliers.

The Forest-Line machines are particularly suited to applications in the aerospace and heavy rail industries, for example, and these are market sectors where Forest-Line has vast experience.

In addition, the fact that we've also been awarded the service contracts on a host of existing Forest-Line installations is an endorsement of our renowned skills and engineering expertise gained through many years of supplying such equipment".

The Forest-Line machines join Ward CNC's exclusive UK agencies for Soraluce milling machines, Union horizontal live spindle machining centres, Toshulin vertical boring, turning and milling machines, Kia CNC lathes, turning centres, and vertical and horizontal machining centres as well as Cetos CNC cylindrical grinders and Hankook Protec two-axis CNC lathes.
