Wasp is offering a new connector on its range of membranes and resistive touchscreens which will connect reliably to all kinds of supports including polyester, FR4, polymide and PTFE.

Wasp is offering a new connector on its range of membranes and resistive touchscreens which will connect reliably to all kinds of supports including polyester, FR4, polymide and PTFE.

The connector has a conventional 2.54mm (0.1mm2) pitch and because the housing is assembled after crimping, the final crimp is easily inspected to ensure absolute connection of either gold or tin plated contacts.

Single and double rows of contacts are available and the connector can be latched for use in applications where it is likely to be subjected to high vibration, or polarised as required.

This type of flexibility in production is particularly important when the touchscreen or membrane is going to be used in sensitive equipment, such as medical apparatus, where the correct contact arrangement is vital.
