Halogen task light in three versions

A Waldmann Lighting product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 12, 2006

Halogen task light improved to double the service life, double the light and reduce maintenance costs, and come in three versions - arm-mounted, flexible tube and fixed head.

Waldmann Lighting's HI 20 halogen task light has been improved to double the service life, double the light and reduce maintenance costs.

The increased light, combined with the ability to adjust freely the direction of the beam reduces errors, improves quality and increases productivity.

There are three versions - arm-mounted, flexible tube and fixed head.

The arm-mounted version is for when working on large machinery or components.

It has a maximum jib length of 800mm, which means the base of the lamp can be mounted outside the working area.

The elbow joint is fitted with disc springs that make sure the lamp can be quickly and easily adjusted to the right position - and that once it is in the right position it stays there.

Additional joints at the head and base mean that the head can be positioned in almost any orientation.

When mounted on a flexible metal tube fitting, it can illuminate smaller machines or workbenches.

It is available with 400 and 600mm jib lengths and can be positioned time and time again - more than 20,000 times with no danger of cracking or metal fatigue.

The head version can be mounted directly on the machine.

Its rugged design, with a sealed luminaire, means it is protected against any chip impacts that could occur during operations such as grinding, engraving or drilling.

It is also available with a magnetic base for easy mounting.

The compact unit can stand up to the rigours of the production environment and has a sturdy sealed metal head with an integral switch.

When fitted as a machine tool light, it can meet the requirements of the European Machinery Directive regarding illuminance, glare, colour quality and stroboscopic effects as set out in BS EN 1837:1999.

When used as a task light, it meets the requirements of BS EN 12464 -1 for the illumination of workspaces within buildings.
