Pumps magazine focuses on Chinese market

The first issue of World Pumps China was published in April, in Simplified Chinese.

Elsevier journal World Pumps, the international magazine for pump users, has launched World Pumps China in collaboration with Ringier Trade Publishing.

There will be three further issues of the magazine in 2005, plus a buyers' guide in September.

World Pumps China contains special features on pump-related technologies and innovations in the oil and gas, power generation, water treatment, food and chemical processing industries worldwide.

The editorial content includes staff written technical features, as well as editorial from the leading pump publication World Pumps.

In addition, the magazine is also supported by an editorial advisory board to ensure that content is on target and relevant to the needs of China's pump industry.

Pumps are vital elements in an enormous range of fluid handling applications in the water, chemical and energy industries.

According to McIlvaine Co's online "Pumps: world markets" report, the world market for industrial pumps will rise from US $27 billion this year to US $31 billion in 2007.

China will be the fastest growing market with an estimated growth rate twice that of the total market.
