A new web site for WDS offers on-line stock checking, purchasing and CAD downloads for 10,000 WDS engineering products.
Over 700 new standard engineering parts!
WDS's latest New Products Catalogue has over 700 new standard engineering parts such as expanded series of stainless steel knobs and threaded fittings and a new range of composite hinges
Ideal for a broad range of chain and strap based hoisting operations, the WDS hoist rings are supplied with proof testing certificates and are constructed from tough alloy steel which is chemical treated for increased corrosion resistance.
Due to the use of hinged attachment rings, the WDS range allows for the free movement of hoisting straps and chains whilst maintaining an even force on the body of the fitting.
This feature makes them an ideal replacement for traditional attachment methods such as eyebolts and, by sourcing the new rings using the WDS website, customers now have easy access to product images, selection charts and 3D CAD files required to source the right replacements first time.

Vice systems claimed to double productivity
Two new twin vice systems from WDS enable companies producing machined parts to double their productivity by clamping two or more components at once.
Hydraulic workholding components added to range
WDS has complemented its universal series of mechanical clamping equipment with the introduction of hydraulic workholding components and systems from the worlds largest manufacturer, Enerpac
For applications where the direction of tension can come from a variety of angles, WDS has introduced the swivel hoist ring which pivots by 180 degrees and rotates 360 degrees simultaneously to allow lifting from any direction and promote more accurate manoeuvring.
Ideal for handling ferrous and nonferrous machining plates, jigs and lifting bases, the hoist rings are available with various sized attachment bolts.
They are designed to withstand a greater range of pulling forces than eyebolts, which are prone to breaking under excessive side loads and present a serious risk to both the health of staff and equipment.
When the direction of the pulling force varies only on a vertical plane, WDS supplies a range of low-profile pivoting lift rings with forged ring elements and precision machined, heat treated bodies.
Due to their simple construction and 6:1 strength factor, the rings provide an extremely cost effective way of securing pallets, casting boxes and jigs.
For similar operations on metal objects, there are tamper-proof swivel eyebolts available in both alloy steel and 316 grade stainless steel.
If long heavy, rolls, castings or bars need to be manoeuvred, there are side pull hoist rings included in the range that offer a higher load capacity of up to 10,000kg.
The rings are available with nine bolt sizes, ranging from M8 to M48 and feature a larger attachment ring than previous designs to accommodate a variety of hoisting methods.
Installation tools are also available and are featured in the latest WDS catalogue, which provides technical details for over 10,000 standard parts and items of production equipment, from machined profiles to threaded fittings, clamps, hinges and fasteners.
The latest version of the printed catalogue is also available on-line with the majority of components available as live 3D CAD files in virtually any current CAD format. Request a free brochure from WDS ...
