Containing all kinds of reference material, including products for Ethernet applications, it will be a valuable addition to the shelves of designers, maintainers and operators alike.

Called the "Industrial Ethernet handbook" it's couched in easy to understand language, starting with the early history of Ethernet itself and going through to its application today in industrial environment.

It explains the fundamentals of routers, switches, redundancy, etc and also deals with specialist functionality such as time synchronisation.

A section devoted to 20 diverse real-life applications shows how Ethernet can be used successfully in widely differing applications.

Westermo's Ethernet adapter and switching product ranges are covered in detail, with useful explanations of what each product does, making product selection much easier.

The "Industrial Ethernet handbook" from Westermo is the first of a four part series of industrial datacommunications handbooks.

The other three sections will comprise: modems and remote access, local communications and theoretical and general application information.
