A new range of high quality V34 modems is designed specifically for use in harsh industrial environments.

A new range of high quality V34 modems is designed specifically for use in harsh industrial environments.

The devices are intended for use in industrial applications where dial-up connections are needed between local equipment and remote systems.

V34 allows PSTN or leased line connections to be used.

The TD-35 is a DIN rail mountable module with connections at the front to make installation and maintenance easy out in the field.

The TR-35 is a rack mount version of the TD-35 more regularly used within a central control room.

The TD and TR-35 are suitable for many industrial applications including remote connection to PLCs, energy meters or data loggers.

They both have a number of features not found on standard modems including complete tri-galvanic isolation, DIP switches for configuring popular AT commands and a `watchdog' function.

The watchdog monitors internal hardware and software as well as the power supply.

If any problems are detected the modem will be automatically reset leaving it ready to receive the next call or to negotiate a new leased line connection.

This feature makes them ideal for use on unmanned sites.

The TD-35 supports RS232 but there is also a variant that can be connected to equipment supporting the RS422/485 interface.

The TD-35/485 has two interfaces (the second being the RS232/V.24 port) connected in parallel, which means that only one of them can be used at any one time.

The TR-35 also supports both RS232 and RS422/485.

The T-35 range can handle data rates up to 115,200bit/s and run from a wide range of AC/DC supplies.

Fault diagnosis is made simple with the inclusion of a number of LED indicators.
