Free industrial data communications one-day conferences in Cambridge, Stoke, Dundee and Reading to focus on GSM, GPRS, industrial Ethernet and wireless Ethernet.
Westermo Data Communications is to stage free industrial data communications events focusing on GSM, GPRS, industrial Ethernet and wireless Ethernet.
The one-day conferences at venues across the UK are aimed at OEMs, system integrators and end users of industrial data communications and will include technology and application presentations as well as hands on training and practical demonstrations.
Three technical presentations given by industry experts from Elpro Technologies and Westermo will address the topics of GSM and GPRS, industrial Ethernet and wireless Ethernet individually.
The emphasis will be on explaining the technologies and describing suitable applications.
Running in parallel to the technical presentations will training sessions for the Westermo GSM and GPRS modems and serial-to-Ethernet converters.
Participants will be given hands-on experience of setting IP addresses and establishing connections to serial devices over Ethernet and GPRS.
There will be live working demonstrations of remote PLC communications, Profibus connectivity, Ethernet timeserving, redundant-ring Ethernet, radio telemetry and industrial modems.
The venues and dates are: Tuesday 7th March, Moathouse Hotel, Cambridge; Thursday 16th March, Britannia Stadium, Stoke; Wednesday 22nd March, Apex City Quay Hotel, Dundee; and Wednesday 29th March, Madejski Stadium, Reading.
