Brochure outlines features of family of Ethernet switches, including managed and unmanaged switches for industrial applications.

Westermo Data Communications has produced a brochure to outline the features of the Lynx family of industrial Ethernet switches.

The Lynx range includes managed and unmanaged Ethernet switches suitable for industrial applications.

Since the release of the Lynx 300 in February 2005, Westermo has added Fast Ethernet versions, Gigabit versions and most recently an unmanaged Fast Ethernet version with robust M12 connectors.

The Lynx range is available with various port combinations.

A modular system lets devices be equipped with either fibre or copper transceivers depending on the application requirements.

Variants are available for multimode and single mode fibre and there is a BIDI transceiver, which enables the installation of a ring on just one fibre.

The brochure outlines the expanding industry approvals Lynx has acquired.

Models were developed to withstand harsh environments and this has made the Lynx switches suitable for industrial, marine and railway applications.

The design is also prepared to conform to requirements for installation in switchgear substation automation and military applications.
