Web2cad.co.uk, the B2B portal for mechanical engineers and machine builders, has significantly upgraded its online CAD library, PowerParts on Web.
With the help of a new search function, users can now quickly find the individual components they need for their CAD designs from the comprehensive selection, in a few easy steps.
As a result, PowerParts on Web users can increase the productivity of their production work.
Using PowerParts on Web, on the B2B website, mechanical engineers and designers can specify and download mechanical component part drawings free of charge.
More than 60 leading components manufacturers now offer 2D and 3D representations of their products in this CAD library.
The number of drawings available online now exceeds 30 million and is increasing all the time.
The component drawings can be selected individually or by manufacturer's catalogue together with additional technical data and can be incorporated into the CAD assembly on screen.
PowerParts on Web supports the file formats DXF, DWG, DWF, SAT, STEP, Parasolid, ME10 and IGES.
The drawings are organised in an intuitive search tree for rapid navigation.

Experts estimate the use of PowerParts on Web can increase the productivity of mechanical design by up to 20 to 30 percent.
