Powder coating is a technique that gives a colour coating to hot dip galvanised steel providing increased corrosion resistance and longevity.
Railings, gates, fencing and balustrades are typical of products galvanised for long-life and then powder coated for aesthetic appeal.
QIC's Sales manager, Steve Harrington, explains: "High quality powder coating is achieved using state-of-the-art Interpon products and gas convertor ovens, enabling the company to offer epoxy, epoxy polymer and pure polyester coatings.
The integration of services offered by Acrow Galvanizing and QIC is designed to accelerate product turnaround, reduce costs and simplify the provision of the companies' complementary services".
From its facility at Saffron Walden, Acrow Galvanizing offers a high quality hot dip galvanising service using a 5m long, 3.2m deep and 1.2m wide bath served by a 4t capacity crane.
As part of the nationwide Wedge Group network, Acrow also enjoys access to facilities capable of handling over-sized and highly complex components.
The company also offers a shot-blast service that enables products to receive a thicker galvanised coating, ideal for products destined for unusually harsh environments.
The partnership between Acrow and QIC comes in response to a growth in demand for the two companies' specialist but complementary services and signals the latest stage in Acrow's ongoing development.
Acrow's Commercial Manager, John Nicholson, comments: "The creation of a working alliance with QIC reflects Acrow's unswerving determination to offer customers the very highest levels of service and support.
Close co-operation between the two companies will enable the provision of a more streamlined service resulting in quicker turnaround and a reduction in costs, as well as the reassurance that every project will meet the exemplary standards associated with the two companies".
