WEG releases CWC025 25A contactor

A WEG Electric Motors product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 26, 2008

Rated for motor operation current up to 25A, WEG's CWC025 contactor provides reduced dimensions for panel and control cabinets.

The CWC025 25A contactor has a 57mm depth, offering flexibility in designing and constructing boards for motor control.

The CWC025 enables AC-3 operation up to 25 amps.

It is part of WEG's CWC0 compact contactor series, which provides AC-3 operation from seven to 16 amps in the same frame sizes and carries CE and Culus certification.

The CWC025 is supplied as standard for direct mounting on WEG's RW17D thermal overload relay and may be mounted on DIN rails without special tooling.

A range of accessories is available for the CWC0 series, with fast and simple mounting systems.

These include auxiliary contact blocks (two or four contacts, NO/NC configurations) and the 'clip-on' surge suppressor block.

Direct mounting on the RW17D thermal overload relay or WEG MPW (motor protective circuit breakers), through ECCMP connectors, provides compact combination starter solutions for the operation and protection of motors.

A mechanical interlock facilitates assembly of the CWC025 with reversing starters without increasing the width, saving panel space and cost.

The CWC025 can be combined with WEG's 9mm wide timing relays (on-delay, off-delay and star-delta), in a snap-fit side mounting to provide a compact star-delta starter.

The WEG CWC0 contactor series provides AC/DC coil voltages within the same frame size to facilitate panel design and mounting where space is scarce.

DC coil voltages are available in two versions, standard and low consumption, to enable use of smaller control transformers and PLC control without requiring interface relays, saving money.
