Supfina Grieshaber specifies Weidmuller's SAI-M sensor actuator integrators for use in its CNC controlled superfinishing equipment.
In designing and building CNC controlled superfinishing equipment to achieve the ultimate surface finishes for the world's most demanding manufacturers, Supfina Grieshaber specifies Weidmuller's sensor actuator integrators (SAI-M) for the critical signal connection and distribution to the production control network.
Typical Supfina machine applications include crankshaft and cam finishing for Formula 1 engines, surface finishing of anti-friction bearings and ball joints for artificial hips.
The compact dimensions and unique connection features of the Weidmuller SAI-M connectors enable easy incorporation into the CNC equipment, while the availability of active, passive and combination SAI-M integrators facilitates installation of the data cabling network.
Supfina's superfinishing equipment is custom-designed to integrate with their customers' production processes, and the versatility of the SAI-M connectors enables Supfina to match a variety of data communication protocols for operation - in both passive and active systems.
The Weidmuller SAI-M integrator ranges are available in M12 and M8 circular connector sizes, with 4/6/8 connections, and either fixed cable or a plug-in cable design which allows cable replacement if damaged.
Units incorporating electronic signal logic processors are also available so that multiple inputs can be accommodated.
All the units are highly robust and offer IP68 environmental protection, and a wide range of connectors, markers and other accessories are also available.
