Regional exhibition and educational event at Newbury Exhibition Centre includes a series of seminars covering plant, process and control.

Running across two days at Pemec 2006, a new regional exhibition and educational event taking place at Newbury Exhibition Centre on the 25th and 26th October 2006, will be a series of seminars covering plant, process and control.

The seminars are part of a wide-ranging programme that also covers maintenance products and facilities and premises management.

Both day one and day two start at 1000 BST with a look at "Compressed air management" presented by BCAS (British Compressed Air Society).

BCAS will look at how compressed air systems play a fundamental role in a wide range of production processes and how the supply of high quality, reliable, compressed air is critical.

They will also detail how substantial savings can be made without loss of performance through monitoring and targeting compressed air systems.

This is followed at 1200 (on the 25th October) by Byworth Boilers who will be presenting a seminar on boiler efficiency.

At the seminar delegates will learn not only how to reduce their boiler's lifetime costs through energy saving enhancements, but also hear about future developments and innovations in boiler technology.

Between 1400 and 1500 BST, t-mac Technologies will look at "Wireless and Internet based monitoring and control" and how GPRS enabled monitoring and control systems are changing the world of maintenance, plant processes and facilities management.

At 1200 on day two, Thursday 26th October Weishaupt, (presenting on behalf of the Combustion Engineering Association), will focus on the development of modern packaged burners to meet today's demands for higher efficiency and improved emissions as well as the advantages associated with electronic combustion management controls.

The final seminar at 1300 BST on day two, entitled "Steam systems - how to maximise their safety, reliability and efficiency", is being run by Gardner Energy Management (GEM) and will explain how the steam and condensate loop operates.

GEM will also address the practical problems that steam plants and their components give operators and provide simple practical tips on how to overcome these challenges, the costs of ignoring best practice and plant safety.

Attendance at any of these seminars is free but delegates are advised to register in advance on the show website.

Here visitors can find more details about the other seminars taking place at the event as well as the exhibitors who will be showing a mix of products and services, all of it aimed at engineers and maintenance professionals.

Pemec 2006 is easy to visit as it is located at the Newbury Exhibition Centre, just off the M4 motorway on the Newbury Racecourse site.

The site is easily reached from London, the South Coast, the M4 corridor and the South West.
