Webdock has introduced the Dataport data collection and monitoring software package for programmable logic controllers, such as the Allen-Bradley PLC/SLC and Controllogix platform controllers.
The software package supports RSLinx, Kepware and PLC Direct OPC servers.
Dataport provides a range of tools for collecting, monitoring and reporting on manufacturing data.
It features a two-step configuration wizard and support for logging to Microsoft Access and the Microsoft SQL server.
Dataport does all the database configurations for the user and creates the database and tables.
Databases can be exported to Microsoft Excel or a standard CSV format for further analysis over the web.
The software also features a real-time data viewer and real-time data graphing.
Users receive email alerts and reports when errors occur; errors include processor communications losses and database communications errors.
Email alerts are also triggered by process events with the current data.
With the database viewer, users do not have to have Microsoft Access in order to use or view their data.
The software also features quick configuration: the ability to clone existing groups and use them as a template for new groups.
It also offers the ability to import and export projects to new computers.
Dataport, which is suitable for original-equipment-manufacturer (OEM) applications, also includes a standard built-in XML server, which allows users to build complex applications that do not rely on proprietary information or protocols.
Webdock also provides demonstrations of real-time controls.
