Pump helps combat hot water bacteria danger
The latest SB circulating pump from Wilo-Salmson has been introduced to help combat the danger caused by Legionellae bacteria in secondary hot water storage calorifiers
Subson pumps weigh as little as 2.8kg, making them extremely portable.
At the same time they are surprisingly powerful; the top-of-the-range Subson 30 boasts an impressive flow of up to 15m3/h and up to 11m head.
The pumps feature a flexible float lead which allows them to pump water as shallow as 14mm.
The designers of the Subson range have put a great deal of thought into absolute reliability.
The fully submersible pumps are protected with double water-proofing consisting of a mechanical packing in the oil chamber and a lip seal.
To help ensure trouble-free operation, all components are insensitive to corrosion and the bearings have lifetime lubrication.
Additionally, these units are fitted with continuously rated motors to give reliable operation even over extended periods.
Furthermore, Subson pumps incorporate the patented 'SAN' self-cleaning system.
This recycles pumped water to clean out the sump and prevent fouling.
The self-cleaning system helps make the Subson range from Wilo Salmson one of the most robust and reliable ranges available.
All this comes at a very competitive price.
The standard Subson 10 pump starts at ?110 while the top-of-the-range Subson 30 is ?210.
For a small premium, harsh water versions are available for pumping sea water and water from softening outlets and swimming pools.
