As a direct result of rapid expansion and the acquisition of EMU Unterwasserpumpen GmbH, Wilo Salmson Pumps has appointed Chris Perkins as business development manager, PBU submersible technology.

Chris brings with him substantial experience and training that he has gained from five years in the industry to complement Wilo's already high-calibre team.

The role of business development manager, PBU submersible technology has been created to maximise pump sales in the northern UK waste water sector, provide technical support to area sales managers, and to oversee the reintroduction of the EMU brand into the UK following its recent acquisition by Wilo.

Chris has completed several British Pumping Manufacturers Association and customer service courses and previously held a position of Contracts and tendering engineer involving handling key accounts within the pump industry before moving to his current position at Wilo.

Stuart Herritty, managing director of Wilo, said, "Our expanding business, coupled with the successful vertical market expansion created by the acquisition of EMU, made it clear that someone was needed to take responsibility for business development, and the reintroduction of the EMU brand.

"Chris, with his industry background and training, has been the solution to this need.".
