Pressure gauge makes a case for increased safety
Gauge is ideal for use in process, petrochemical and oil and gas industries, where operator safety is of paramount concern.
Pressure switches prevent expensive downtime
A single false trigger in the steam turbines can cost the plant approximately US $41,000, excluding lost magnesium oxide production.
Rhomberg originated as two separate organisations: Control Instruments Gauge, which was established in 1957 as Ferris Instrumentation, and Rhomberg Electronics, which was formed in 1971.
Currently, Rhomberg employs over 300 employees and has various locations in South Africa (Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban) and a facility in the UK.
Rhomberg's product line features a wide array of electronic products (i.e monitoring relays, proximity sensors, temperature controllers and electronic counters for industrial automation and instrumentation and mechanical instruments (pressure gauges, test equipment and thermometers).
Rhomberg markets to a diverse international marketplace including: manufacturing industries, processing industries, mining, agriculture, original equipment manufacturers, switchboard manufacturers and a large number of utility services, such as power stations, hospitals and local authorities.
In a related transaction, Winters has also acquired Rhomberg Electronica, located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Rhomberg Electronica distributes a wide range of electronic products for various industrial applications including; optoelectronic sensors, electronic protectors, safety switches, monitoring relays, digital indicators, temperature controllers, magnetic sensors and inductive sensors.
These two acquisitions will enable Winters to continue its global growth strategy to become the leading industrial instrumentation manufacturer for the measurement of pressure and temperature.
