A Winters Instruments product story

The switches will be used in critical applications such as burner pressure, condensator vacuum and steam turbine lubricant pressure monitoring.

Following its success in tapping into China's power industry earlier this year, Winters Instruments has now supplied pressure switches to Chongqing Jiulong Electric Power Co The power produced by Chongqing Jiulong will be routed to Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings), China's largest containerboard producer, at its Chongqing base.

Chongqing Jiulong Electric Power will install eight generators that can each produce 60kW of electricity to the area.

Winters' pressure switches will be used in critical applications such as burner pressure, condensator vacuum and steam turbine lubricant pressure monitoring.

These pressure switches are known for their combination of advanced lever-operated mechanism, frictionless transmission design and high quality in-house springs.

Other key features of Winters' pressure switches include 0.5% accuracy, high repeatability and low deadband.

Nine Dragons' Chongqing base covers 2.4km2 and will encompass a privately owned pier and direct railway access.

The cost of construction is projected at approximately RMB 15 billion (about US $2.15 billion), with the first two production lines capable of producing 0.8 million tonnes of paper.

The completion of all construction phases is expected to be carried out over the next 5 years.
