Wilcoxon Research has added a low-cost sensor to its family of general purpose accelerometers.

Wilcoxon Research has added a low-cost sensor to its family of general purpose accelerometers.

The 788A has a sensitivity of 100mV/g and a +/-10% tolerance.

The single axis sensor has an acceleration range of +/-50g at full scale.

High frequency response measurements up to 10kHz identify faults and improper machine operation.

Typical noise is 4ug at 100Hz.

It operates normally at temperatures between -50 and +120C.

Features include shielding, ground isolation and hermetic sealing against environmental contamination.

It is suitable for condition based monitoring and predictive maintenance programmes.

This general purpose accelerometer suits vibration monitoring of fans, motors, pumps, blowers, compressors, chillers, gearboxes and mixers, as well as other industrial applications to reduce failure rates in the field.
